Agricultural Finance Faq's
What is microfinancing?
Microfinancing is the practice of offering small loans, savings options, or other financial services to individuals who don’t have access to traditional banks. It’s especially helpful in rural or low-income communities, where financial exclusion is common.
Why do farmers need microfinance?
Many small-scale farmers don’t have the upfront money to buy seeds, equipment, or fertilisers. Microfinance gives them a chance to invest in their farms, improve productivity, and break the cycle of poverty over time.
How is this new and different?
Most microfinance platforms are complex or not tailored to underprivileged users. My idea stands out by focusing on simplicity, visual design, and local relevance—making financial tools easier to understand and access for those with limited tech experience.
What inspired me to do this?
Living in Dubai, I’ve seen how easy it is to access services with just a few taps. It made me realise how unfair it is that farmers in less developed areas still struggle for basic financial support. That contrast inspired me to use digital design to make a meaningful difference.
